Well, I've totally changed the layout and escaped from blogger's templates! It's starting to feel more like mine! :)

Creature Feature - This is where I'm going to have a featured 'something' every week (if I manage to keep with it this time) I'll feature 'the something' in a main blog post in detail, then have a smaller version there for the rest of the week.

Curious Corners - This is going to be a list of all the past featured places

Useful Sites - this one is pretty obvious :)

Ok, so I never really got this whole blog-thing going...

This time I'm going to try and do it properly :)

So, over the next week or so I'm going to overhaul how it looks, probably take down most the old posts... (because they were boring!) And generally start all over again!

So hopefully my next post will be much more fun, interesting and brought to you from some new, wonderous, imaginary land of amazingness!

Ok, so long time no update...

I've been away, and now i have returned! :)

I need to go through all the '30 days' stuff that i missed and i'm updating the Etsy shop Everyday again! :)

Jane is off to a Arts Fair in Japan in a couple of weeks, so i'll get some more info on that up on here and on the website... and there's going to be a big update on the site in the next week... lots of new plushies and polymer items!! :)

And a TREASURE HUNT too! :)

Well, i'm keeping up to date! :)

Day five, was updating your shop avatar and banner... but since ours are new and shiny I didnt need to do anything! Hurray for Beautifulcreations!

Day six and seven are both dedicated to updating your items titles and descriptions. Which i'm working on now! Well, I was until I started writing this... ;)

Day two's Assignment was to improve your shop's announcement!

I don't have a before and after, because I tend to fiddle around with the announcement every few days :) Though now I think I've settled on a format I like (for a while at least) and I've managed to keep it short so you can see the featured items as soon as you open the shop page! :)

I also updated/changed/added too our profile. (which turned out to be day 4's assignment... Woo, day ahead! ;)

On day three we had to add /change/update the sections in the shop. I'd never added sections to the Knottwood shop before, as we were still on one page of items at the time. Now, we do have item sections, and here they are:

Faerie Doors
Fabric Creatures
Original Art
Cuff Bracelets

30 Days to a better shop (Day 1)

Ooooh Nifty!

I was wandering around on the Etsy forums last night (As I generally am these days ;) and I discovered a rather nifty thing... Christina Perdue is creating a series of 30 day assigments, called '30 days to a better shop' and is going to add each day's assignment to her blog (Linked in the title) So, i'm going to join in... and see what effect I can have on the Knottwood shop :)

The first Days Assignment is to write a list of goals, for the month and Longterm... So here we are:

October:

Sell 10 items
Keep up with the '30 days to a better shop'
Keep the Blog up to date
Start advertising in 3 more places – Off Etsy

Longterm :

Be able to support ourselves & Move!
Rent/have a better workshop
Expand the range of items we can sell

Well... that one was pretty easy, tho the lists could have gone on for pages and pages. I figure its probably best to keep them short for now :)

Hello!

Yay! I've finally got round to creating our blog.

Hopefully we'll manage to keep it up to date with our hijinks, craftyness, twisted logic and the general insanity that makes up Knottwood.

I'm about to go and test the new website... hopefully all will be well and I can get that up and running. Then we can start updating our Etsy Shop again!

Hurray!

The website is live now, its all (fiiiinnnallly) working nicely!

I've just finished the first of our Etsy shop updates and we'll be adding an item a day for a while, so things will be shiny, new and interesting aaallll the time! :)

I'm also plotting the first website update... though I can't face that just yet (the trauma of site testing is still to fresh in my mind!)
